The following websites are great resources for homework help and extra practice. Your child will have a list of these sites and others with usernames and passwords in their daily planner.

learnzillion.com has excellent short video lessons for many common core math skills for parents helping students with new math concepts.

newsela.com has many current event non-fiction articles

of many topics for nightly reading.

prodigymath is a math game site that is preloaded with the math concepts we are learning each week. It is game based so the kids love it- but, they do get practice with common core math standards as they progress through the game.

 

Quizlet.com and SpellinyCity.com are great sites to study for bi- weekly vocabulary tests. Just look for the lesson number and you will find flashcards and game quizes. Your child has the links in his/her google classroom writing for these sites.

 

powermylearning.org is a site that I have preloaded a variety of learning games on playlists for several subjects

 

sheppardsoftware.com is a great site for US Geography and lots of other fun games.

 

xtramath.com is a site for practicing math facts.
